Haufbrau Haus 26-Sep-2003 5:21pm The other (dozen or so) tents are booked out fully by the Germans and people who generally know better.. So this is where you find all the foreigners. And so this was basically our permanent residence for us for the weekend too. |

Haufbrau Haus Pig 27-Sep-2003 12:01pm Half of Haufbrau Haus is taken up with the infamous "Pig Pen". This is the only place in all of the festival where you can be served beer while standing up. |

The pig pen. 27-Sep-2003 12:01pm The pig pen only has one small catch. If anyone catches you wearing underwear... it's physically removed and thrown up on the large rotating pig. And they do check... no exceptions. NB: (We weren't subjected to all this - our nice waitresses always made room at the tables for us - but we all went commando each day just to be safe) |
