2003-08-25 - Reading Festival

After coming back from the well organised "Sziget" festival in Hungary, (which ran for 7 days, was cleaned every day, had 8 completely seperated music stages, and ample things to do to pass the time when taking a break from the music, including a huge FREE internet tent), the Reading Festival failed to impress. By comparison, it felt like it was held in a rubbish tip. In was packed like sardines even when miles away from the main stage, and even when closer, you could still two other stages from either side. I may have well listened to a walkman up loud on the tube. The only extra things to do there were (a) by more beer, (b) buy more food. Consuming alcohol was manditory - you could never face the sanitary conditions sober.

Regardless, had fun. Here's some pics...

Hey who got hold my camera. Well, well done. As for me, I still haven't learned to take photos of PEOPLE. Was here with Jono, Chris, Sarah and Angela.

... were about to start. The one band I made special effort to see. No chance in hell of a photo from the crowd once they got on stage!!!

Less than 3 hours for sleep, as we had to leave at 6am to catch the train.
